What do the screen industries look like today, and where are they heading? Including the incredible Executive Producer Sam Lavender and CEO of John Gore Studios, Hilary Strong, the panel draws on their wide-ranging careers to discuss shifting career paths, the realities of working in the industry today, and the future of the screen industries.

Sam Lavender is Executive Producer at Java Road Pictures. He was an executive and senior commissioner at Film4 from 2006 to 2019, before joining Motive Pictures and EP-ing the BBC/Showtime Drama The Woman In The Wall. He also works as a consultant for Amusement Park (All Quiet On The Western Front). 

Hilary Strong is the CEO of John Gore Studios, where she drives the studios’ strategic growth and commercial vision, leveraging 35 years of leadership in TV, film, and literary IP. Known for her innovative approach, Hilary has consistently driven growth and creative transformation within major international organisations. Hilary holds an MA in Law from Cambridge, is a member of the BAFTA Commercial Committee, a director of the NFTS, and Chair of global comedy theatre business, Mischief Worldwide.
